About NexTech
NexTech is a Baltimore-based workforce initiative providing free access to industry-recognized technology certifications for young adults. Our pilot cohort focuses on foundational IT certification training and career readiness.
Role Overview
The Founding Teaching Fellow will lead instruction for a small pilot cohort (5–8 students) over 12 weeks. This is a foundational role helping shape curriculum delivery, student experience, and early program outcomes.
This position is ideal for:
- Early-career IT professionals
- Certification holders (Tech+, A+, Security+, AWS CCP, etc.)
- Individuals interested in workforce development
- Those seeking leadership or teaching experience
Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly virtual sessions
- Guide students through certification objectives
- Support practice exam preparation
- Provide structured accountability and mentorship
- Collaborate with Founder on curriculum refinement

Compensation
This is a pilot-stage fellowship. A modest stipend will be provided upon successful completion of the 12-week cohort, contingent on program milestones and funding alignment.
The role includes leadership credit, public recognition as a Founding Teaching Fellow, and priority consideration for future paid instructor roles as NexTech scales.
