About NexTech
NexTech is a Baltimore-based workforce initiative providing free access to industry-recognized technology certifications for young adults. Our pilot cohort focuses on foundational IT certification training and career readiness.
Role Overview
The NexTech Operations & Program Assistant will support program operations for a small pilot cohort (5–8 students) over 12 weeks. This is a foundational role helping shape the operational backbone, communications, and organizational systems of NexTech.
This position is ideal for:
- Detail-oriented individuals with strong organizational skills
- Those with experience in scheduling, email, or project management
- Individuals interested in workforce development operations
- Those seeking leadership or administrative experience
Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling and communications
- Support employer partnership coordination
- Maintain program documentation and records
- Assist with event planning and logistics
- Collaborate with Founder on operational processes

Compensation
This is an independent contractor position. A modest monthly stipend is provided on a month-to-month basis, contingent on program milestones and funding alignment.
The role includes leadership credit, public recognition as a founding team member, and priority consideration for future paid operations roles as NexTech scales.
